ALD A7

A7 is a new speaker based on the technology of the internationally awarded Aurelia Cerica XL speaker, whose acoustic solutions have been refined to be even better.

HFD technology, developed by Antti Louhivaara, directs the sound towards the listener in a fan-shaped manner. This acoustic fan (HFD, Horizontal Fan-shaped Dispersion) improves the accuracy and spatial uniformity of the sound image.

A7 creates a kind of three-dimensional acoustic bubble at the listening position, inside which a whole new world of musical information opens up.

A7 is based on an acoustic method in which the dimensions of the bass elements and the waveguide are in harmony with the lengths of the sound waves being produced. In this case, the acoustic radiation is as efficient as possible, so that the power required for the achieved sound pressure remains as low as possible. As a by-product, the energy response is flat and the directivity is controlled. We call this Wave-Length Reasoning (WLR).

Unlike traditional speakers, the A7 produces sound waves in a cylindrical shape using a triple tweeter and bass elements placed in a D'Appolito arrangement. The A7 creates a horizontal acoustic fan that resembles the fan-shaped spray created by some pressure washers.

HFD wave shaping delivers significantly more direct sound to the listening position than traditional acoustic systems, and as a result, the sound image created by the speaker is unprecedentedly deep, precise and immersive.
